MULTIPLE-PERSONALITY DRESS

BUTTERICK 8290. It's easy to be chic on a shoestring when you can make one multiple-personality dress look like three! Wear View A, simple and unadorned, as a background dress for your jewelry. Button on the white plastron in View B, and you have a stunning dark afternoon dress frosted with white. For View C, baste in the collar and pocket flaps. Size 16, 3 ¾ yards 39 inch for dress only, with ½ yard 39 inch contrast View B, ½ yard View C. Sizes 12 to 20; 30 to 40. 50 cents.

SIMPLE-TO-MAKE DRESSES
 
COMPANION-BUTTERICK 8269. Only three pieces to this simple-to-make dress (see the pattern layout above.) But the yoke effect makes it look very smart and much more complicated! Size 16, 3 ⅜ yards 39 inch spun rayon. Sizes 12 to 20; 30 to 40. Beginners' Pattern, 35 Cents.

BUTTERICK 8283. Easy to make and easy to launder too! Unbutton both sides and lay it flat to iron. Slip it on over your head, and adjust the swing fulness as you please. Size 16, 3 ⅝ yards 39 inch checked gingham. Sizes 12 to 20, 30 to 42. Beginners' Pattern, 25 Cents.
